Our database is designed so that a part can be identified by most of the numbers that have been associated with it over the last ten years. Even partial numbers will give you results based upon that particular numerical sequence, so if you've got a part with a long number, just plug in the first five digits and hit "search". Brands and distributors in our industry have historically changed their parts numbering system, which makes it difficult for users to identify the appropriate part they're looking for.
Brand names and parts descriptions such as "thermostat" or "t'stat" can also be used, but be sure to use correct spelling. Misspelled words will nearly always result in no products being found.
How do I Get my Service Company Discount?

Service companies receive a 10% discount that is unavailable to any other purchaser. This is designed to give them a percentage that goes against any outstanding balance on their credit card should they not pay for a part completely when the credit card bill is due.
To qualify for the discount, we need a resale license on file. This can be faxed directly to our main office at (866) 264-6737 . While we do not require this prior to your first purchase, we need it within two weeks of the transaction date.
Do you provide a Parts Warranty?

Our parts undergo inspections throughout the manufacturing and distribution process. Each PRP part carries a no-questions-asked, 90-day return guarantee.
To return a part, please contact us at 260-437-9770. We will cover shipping and send a replacement on returned parts. This guarantee does not cover labor, and does not extend to circuit boards of any kind.
Who Ships PRP Packages?

Our pricing structure is designed in such a way that the discounts we receive for a large number of packages each month subsidizes a portion of the lower prices we offer. For this reason we can not ship on customer's account numbers. Customers can select their choice of shipping at checkout. If you need special handling or specific delivery directions on an order, please call us at 800-820-5140 (7AM - 5:30PM CST M-F) and speak with a PRP representative.
Can PRP Stock a Part for My Company?

If you have a part you use often and you don't see it here, give us a call. We're always interested in adding to our product line, and the chances are that if you need it, so do others.
The key to stocking a part is whether it can be bought in enough quantity to justify the overhead. If the numbers add up on the part you need, or if you need us to look into a one-time purchase, dial us up at (800) 820-5140 during regular business hours.
Why Doesn't PRP Offer Terms? Everyone Else Does...

Terms can end up helping or hurting a company. Hard costs present a major cash flow problem to a service company. We know this firsthand because each of us has either worked for or run a service company. When a customer pays in full and on time it is certainly easier than having problem payers, but watching the calendar as bills and paychecks come closer to due is almost always stressful. For a parts company it's possibly even tougher, as many service companies hold on until they've been paid for the job before they pay the parts bill.
We're a small company who believes in paying the bills as they come due. We do it with our own suppliers, and get a discount for doing so. Instead of pocketing the savings, we pass that on to you in lower parts prices. By asking our customers to pay with a credit card, we avoid having to staff an accounts receivables department, which further adds to our ability to offer the same high-quality part as you'd buy from a larger provider but at a lower cost. Finally, we started our company with an initial investment of our own savings, so we don't have debt to service – again, allowing us to keep our prices lower to serve our clients better.
It comes down to keeping things simple. We'd love to offer a lot more parts and to offer terms, but that would require us adopting a business model that's less aggressive in our pricing and more traditional in our marketing. In the long run, that isn't all that helpful to anyone.

What Does the Box Look Like When We Receive It?

Our boxes are labelled with a return address with our corporate street number. The name of the shipper is "Replacement Parts". The packing slip follows the same idea, and has no pricing on the slip. The customer never knows what you've paid, allowing you to mark up the part as you choose.
Do You Sell OEM Parts?

Selling OEM parts requires a legal agreement with the manufacturer. If someone advertises a part as OEM, they may or may not actually be licensed to sell that part. The problem is, many places that advertise OEM parts are actually selling parts that may or may not be the real thing. Tell Me About Your Newsletter...

Our newsletter comes out every three months, and is sent to customers who subscribe. We do not share our list with any other businesses or charities, nor sell any information or lists we gather.
The reason we send a newsletter is to provide customers with information we think they need to know. Sometimes it's about us, sometimes it's about other companies, and it's always helpful. Plus, we put really nice artwork in each issue - including a rendering of a vintage car and a custom-drawn cartoon. Our customers have expressed their appreciation for it, and the statistics of how many are opened and acted upon are astronomically higher than others in the industry.
Are You Hiring at PRP?

We have positions open for customer sales representatives. Every sales representative sets their own hours and chooses whether they wish to call on clients in person or by phone. Reps earn a 10% commission on each part their client purchases. Once the client buys as a direct result of that relationship, every purchase that customer makes continues to earn the commission for that rep - as long as they continue to call and serve the client to our high standards. We do not set aside territories rich with potential customers, instead allowing our sales reps to call on whomever they choose. We want the people who make PRP a success to be rewarded, and do not cap their earnings.
